David is a Melbourne based Producer, Engineer and Composer. David cut his teeth on the indie and punk scene of London in 2005 and 2006 producing independent bands at various studios including Gizzard Studios and for labels like Chez Va Va.
Upon returning to Australia and graduating from the Conservatorium of Music in Queensland, David relocated to Melbourne. Here he produces records from his co-op Mix and Recording facility located near the heart of Melbourne’s Art districts - Los Bomberos. Los Bomberos houses a good collection of classic microphones and analog outboard gear, amongst vintage synths and guitar amplifiers.
David is dedicated to the art of experimentation with a love of quirky vintage gear and techniques drives him, modern recording techniques and apps excited him and he employs both in his constant search to capture the song. His heroes include Brian Wilson, Phil Spector, Brian Eno, Burial and Fourtet and this is apparent in his use of the studio itself as an instrument.
David is also a prolific songwriter and as part of the White Noise Collective has written for artists and sync for over 10 years.
With a local and International profile that includes top 10 ARIA singles and high rotation on Triple JJJ, a song David recently produced was voted #14 on best songs of 2016 by the esteemed Time Out Magazine New York.
